Our world is isolating to those who do not fit the script.

Those who see the weekend bars as slow slaughter houses, serving up poison to the clones in exchange for their hard earned capital.

Those who see the news as the controlled narrative, deployed to herd the masses as they follow the line of society.

Those who see the politicians as the corrupt puppets of the wealthy, driven by agendas and selfish gain.

Those who see employment as selling your life in order to live by the rules.

Those who see the digitization of our reality as the corruption of the natural world.

Those who see the future as a death sentence written by those who could not see past their own profits.

Those who see our walk into mass extinction, with our heads down and our phones in our hands, the endless scroll has doomed us all.

Those who see what the human race has become.

We were warned, we did not listen.
Those who now scream at the dark, as the rest turn off the light.
What can we do?
To engage is to fuel the fire of corruption.
The power we once had is hidden and forgotten.
It is shrouded in doubt and buried in mistrust.
We can no longer see our enemies.
Our friends have turned on us.
We exist in chaos and are bewildered by crisis after crisis.
How can one cope, how can one hope.
To hope is to dream, to dream is to die.

I am past fear.
I am past anger.
I am past caring.
And yet, sadness.
I would welcome tears, but they are lost to me.
I would welcome love, but I do not deserve it.
I would welcome death, but I cannot surrender.
Am I mad?
Or is everyone else?
Is this the way the world ends?
Has it already ended?

I miss the land we came from.
I have never seen it.
I want to go back.
I have never been there.
I want to sit around the fire.
I want to look up at the stars.
I want to see the lights of gods.

I want responsibility.
I want a challenge to overcome.
I want a fulfilling purpose.
I want the love of women and the respect of men.
I want what used to be a mans life,
But now is only a forgotten dream.
